You will need to know how to miter inside and outside corners and an occasional 45 degree “splice” cut. Using a power miter saw you will discover that it’s super easy to dial-in you perfect installation cut angle.

Most homes have either a colonial or ranch style base trim which are both easily found at most big box home improvement centers.
